Networking event for young BIPOC professions

Our 2nd Annual Black is the New Black is in celebration of Black History Month. Black is the New Black was created with the purpose of engaging young female Black Indigenous People of Colour (BIPOC) between the ages of 18-35 in Nova Scotia. This started out as a partnership between the YMCA Community Action Network (YCAN) and the Centre for Entrepreneurship, Education and Development (CEED) Black is the New Black is a networking event that offers a safe space for BIPOC females to meet, network, and support female BIPOC Businesses.

  • Supported 5 local BIPOC Businesses
