Jacob Woods is a research associate at the Nova Scotia Community College. Jacob is skilled in energy system analysis with experience in renewable power, energy storage and holds an Energy Sustainability Engineering Technology diploma from NSCC.  Jacob has built relationships and coordinated various research initiatives with industry and government partners to promote and discuss energy related projects and NSCC involvement.   He also collaboratively engages with students and faculty annually at NSCC’s open house and tech showcase to highlight the work done by Applied Research. Jacob enjoys the working with the diverse population of NSCC students and watching them face challenges head on while pursuing new opportunities.  Originally from New Glasgowswim lessons and playing basketball in the YMCA gym was an important part of Jacob’s Friday night small town childhood  Jacob is passionate about the community and, as a person with a physical disabilityis a strong supporter of equity and inclusion. His commitment to para sports continues to inform the lived experience he brings to the Y’s initiatives of promoting the benefits of sports for physical and mental health.   Return
