In support of public health priorities, the YMCA Centre for Immigrant Programs will be limiting in-person services and programs until December 10, 2020, when a reassessment by public health will take place. In-person access to the Centre will by appointment and urgent situations. Centre-based programming will be offered virtually. These programs include:

  • Youth Outreach  
  • Active Living  
  • Gender-Based Violence Prevention Project  
  • Employment and Education  
  • Atlantic Immigration Pilot Program  
  • Canada Connects  
  • 2SLGBTQIA+ Newcomers  
  • Saturday Study Skills 

Mobile Crisis can be reached virtually by phone or email. In-person appointments with a Mobile Crisis worker are reserved for urgent crises while ensuring health measures such as physical distancing, mask-wearing, disinfecting and hand sanitizing are followed.  

The School Settlement program will continue to provide support while aligning with Public Health directives as it pertains to school operations.   

YREACH and programs based outside of HRM will follow community-specific guidance.
