Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP)
The Atlantic Immigration Program
The Atlantic Immigration Program (AIP) is an initiative designed by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada, aims to attract skilled immigrants to the Atlantic region, fostering growth and addressing labor market needs. The AIP offers a pathway for skilled workers and international graduates to permanent residency, contributing to the vibrant and diverse communities of Nova Scotia and beyond.
Our Role in AIP:
At the YMCA, we are committed to supporting AIP candidates in their journey to a new life in Nova Scotia. Our services include:
- Settlement Plan Assistance: We help AIP candidates complete their needs assessment and develop an individualized settlement plan, a crucial step for the AIP endorsement application.
- Employer Collaboration: We work closely with employers to ensure smooth referrals and effective settlement plans for candidates.
- Resource Connection: We provide essential information about the AIP and connect candidates with settlement staff across Nova Scotia to ensure they have the support they need.
