Whether you’re looking for one-on-one guidance with Individual Personal Training, or the collaborative energy of Partner Personal Training, our certified trainers are equipped to provide expert support. Each trainer brings unique expertise and a personalized approach to fitness, ensuring that your training journey is both effective and enjoyable. 

Individual Personal Training

Work one-on-one with a certified personal trainer to effectively achieve your goals. No matter what obstacles you face, personal training will provide you with the individual attention you need. Individual personal training includes an initial consultation, customized programming, ongoing motivation, and professional assistance.

Partner Personal Training

Our certified personal trainer will work with you and a partner to achieve fast results with a fitness plan that is tailored to both of your specific needs. Partner personal training includes an initial consultation with both clients.

Mulham Alsebai

Mulham Alsebai has been working out for 10 years, so is very comfortable working in the weight room at the YMCA. He has been a YMCA member for over a year and enjoys the atmosphere at the JWL YMCA. Mulham has a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine and is a YMCA Certified Personal Trainer.

Ethan Avila

Ethan Avila is a PT in the morning and a circus performer/instructor at night. He first shifted careers from in 2017 from science - doing a PhD in Medical Physics - to circus and personal training.

Sam Antar

Sam Antar is a certified Personal Trainer with over 6 years of experience, combining martial arts and fitness expertise to help clients reach their goals.

Gentil Nduwayesu

Meet Gentil, a YMCA certified personal trainer with a dynamic and supportive approach, dedicated to helping individuals achieve their fitness goals.

Zach Ryan

Zach Ryan has a passion for fitness and helping others. He has over 10 years of experience training for and playing Basketball competitively, playing most recently with the Mount Saint Vincent Mystics. He is a YMCA Certified Personal Trainer.

Eric Palaco-Tobia

Eric has started a new position as a Personal Trainer and Wellness Coach at the Y, and he is also a part time reservist in the Canadian Armed Forces.

Bardia Habibian

Bardia Habibian has been working out for 10 years and spent time in high school playing soccer and rugby. He has spent considerable time volunteering at the YMCA with the LiveWell program and enjoys working at the Y. Bardia is in his final semester studying Kinesiology at Dalhousie University, and is a canfitpro Certified Personal Trainer. 

Katie Veinot

Katie has a Bachelor of Recreation & Sports Studies with a minor in Business Management and is a certified ACE Personal Trainer with Fitness New Brunswick.

Kathryn MacLean

Kathryn MacLean has been exercising all her life: she’s a serious walker, a cyclist, a gardener, a yoga practitioner, a swimmer, and has dabbled in golfing, running, rowing and roller-blading.

Halima Haydaryaar

Halima is a YMCA certified personal trainer. She has been a member of the JWL YMCA for over three years.

Halima specializes in helping individuals achieve their fitness goals through customized training programs.
