Help Kids shine bright this summer

YMCA camps provide life-changing experiences. Friendships blossom, self-confidence emerges, independence grows, and through it all our campers build resilience to help them face new challenges.

For many kids, camp is only an option with the support of donors. At the YMCA of Halifax/Dartmouth, over 3,000 children experience summer camps. Of those, 1 in every 5 require financial assistance to register for summer camp.

With your support, the YMCA will remove barriers for all kids to participate in summer camp. This includes financial assistance for registration, transportation needs and cultural barriers, so every kid can enjoy the magic of camp.

Access to Opportunity

All seniors deserve a place to connect and maintain their health and wellbeing. Access to opportunity helps to ensure that the YMCA turns no one away by subsiding programs and memberships for those who otherwise would not be able to benefit.

Youth Exchange

The YMCA's Youth Exchange program helps youth from Halifax experience the joy of exploring, connecting, and discovering friendships with peers from across the country! For many of them, this will be their first trip out of province. Your support will give them a once in a lifetime opportunity by supporting their meals, lodging, and excursions.

Yes! A donation of securities or mutual fund shares is the most efficient way to give charitably. With a donation of securities or mutual funds, capital gains tax does not apply, allowing you to give more.
